EKMB & EKMC Flat Square Lens PIR Motion Sensors

Panasonic EKMB and EKMC Flat Square Lens Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensors feature both a low profile and flat surface, ensuring a flush design look against the surface of a build. These PIR sensors consist of a lens to create various detection zones, an optical filter to block non-infrared light, pyroelectric sensing elements, and an impedance converter to get an electrical signal. The flat PIR sensors also integrate an amplifier and comparator circuit on the same chip, all densely packed inside the stem block. EKMB and EKMC Flat Square Lens PIR Motion Sensors utilize Panasonic’s one-chip ASIC design, which saves space, adds electromagnetic shielding to all circuitry, and reduces the number of components required. These PaPIRs are available in black, white, and pearl white. Ideal applications are HVAC, security, and lighting, including motion and occupancy detection.

EKMB PIR Motion Sensors

Panasonic EKMB Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensors feature a specialized circuit that allows current consumption as low as 1µA during sleep mode. These sensors provide long-distance detection up to 15m. The modules offer a robust design against false starts and a low curvature lens with a smooth surface and minimum protrusion. These PaPIRs include wide field-of-view (FoV) options and approach-sensing detection. Panasonic PIR EKMB Motion Sensors are ideal for wireless devices, mobile equipment, lighting, and security equipment.

EKMB & EKMC Low-Profile Lens PIR Motion Sensors

Panasonic EKMB and EKMC Low-Profile Lens Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensors feature a height of 10.9mm, compared to 14.4mm on a PaPIRs standard lens. This low-height design offers comparable performance to the standard lens by providing 32 detection zones, a 90° x 90° field of view, a 5m detection distance, and a 2.1mm focal distance. Panasonic Low-Profile Lens motion sensors are ideal for lighting control, security, appliances, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Motion & Position Sensors

Panasonic Motion and Position Sensors are built for low-profile applications and provide a long sensor life. These sensors are suitable for detecting the angle and rotating axes. Accelerometers, board-mount sensors, and tilt switches are for industrial and everyday use.

PIR IR Motion Sensors

Panasonic PIR Motion Sensors are passive infrared-type sensors that detect changes in temperature (>4°C) from the surroundings and detect movement. With a wide sensing area, the Panasonic PIR devices are low profile and available in polyethylene (9.7mm) and silicon lenses (6mm). The PIR motion sensors feature sleep mode, which allows for a low current consumption of 1µA. The EKMC series offers embedded circuit design and eliminates external sensing circuits.
